Thaddeus Russell holds a Ph.D. in history from Columbia University and is the author of A Renegade History Of The United States. He is an academic renegade himself and has launched his own university: Renegade University. He is also The host of the amazing new podcast, Unregistered with Thaddeus Russell.
Thad was raised in Berkeley, California, by Marxist revolutionaries for parents. His experiences with the academic establishment at Barnard College (the women’s college at Columbia University) has become legendary. He’s one of the most interesting people in higher ed right now. He doesn’t describe himself as a libertarian, but def leans that way. He avoids labels and he is an infinitely complex and compelling individual who constantly produces thought provoking work.
